Was the Vigilante reveal satisfying to you?

CRAIG: Sadly… no. I barely even remembered that Dinah had a partner, and it was odd to me that the character in this mystery was introduced before even Dinah was. I get that the idea is to give Dinah conflict, but it would have meant a lot more if it had been someone like Roy Harper that we had been really invested in. (Not to mention it would explain why Adrian Chase didn’t go after Roy in Season 5).

STEPHANIE: No. The reveal fell flat because it was too out of the blue to be a rewarding surprise. It was a “huh? who?” moment, rather than a “wait, WHAT!!” moment. The only relevance that Vince seems to have to the present day storyline is to give Dinah a secret and some emotional drama, so I’m rather conflicted about where it goes from here. Dinah is my favorite new addition to Team Arrow, so I welcome the opportunity to learn more about her past and watch her acquire more screen time, but I also don’t want her storyline this season to revolve around some guy she used to date. Let her be that snarky, independent woman who Team Arrow met on the rooftop in Hub City.

MATT: No, but they’d kind of exhausted most possibilities before that point. The most disappointing thing about it is there’s just not a lot of sense to it. I mean, Vince or Vinny or whatever the hell we’re calling him this week, gunning after criminals makes sense. Not much else really does.

MELISSA: No. The clues the show and the show’s producers dropped about Vigilante’s identity last season and over the summer hiatus built up my expectations that the reveal was going to be far more surprising and meaningful than Dinah’s “of course he didn’t die” dead boyfriend. It seemed completely obvious by the time the reveal rolled around that yes, it was only going to be Vince, but knowing that was a huge let down and the impact of the reveal remains one big “meh”.
