The GreenArrowTV team talks about Season 6 so far in a roundtable discussion. Team GATV Roundtable: Talking Arrow Season 6 So Far

How does Arrow stack up against the other CW superhero shows right now?

CRAIG: Well, it was the first of the four midseason finales that I watched, so that has to say something about my interest in it. Arrow continues to have a very special place for me, and I will continue to be invested in finding out what happens next.

With that said, if you’re not watching DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, you are missing the underrated gem of the Arrowverse. Every week that show has been fun this year, with some great new characters. So, Legends might be the most consistent, but Arrow is the one that is the most special to me. And if you haven’t seen it yet, Black Lightning is great.

STEPHANIE: I’m at a place right now where I’m kind of annoyed at just about every TV show I’m watching, except Legends of Tomorrow. That show is crazy fun, with an emphasis on the crazy. I’m personally very attached to Supergirl, despite my criticisms, so it’s close to the top. Then on the other end of the scale, I’m rather boggled by the big bad on The Flash this season (although I’m rejoicing that the big bad is finally not a speedster), so I’d rank Arrow somewhere in the middle ground.

I’ve been pretty good about keeping up with Arrow on a weekly basis this year, so that’s an improvement over last season, but it has not yet regained its place as one of the few shows I watch live. It could though. I have hope.

MELISSA: I’m most invested in Arrow’s characters so technically, it always remains my favorite even when I don’t think it has had the best season out of the four shows. Last season, Legends of Tomorrow in my opinion earned that honor by a wide margin. This season, I feel all of the Arrowverse shows have been more enjoyable and while Legends again has been excellent fun (All hail Beebo!) Arrow also stands on top of my list, though for different reasons. 6A has had a slower unfolding plot this year but excellent character work. And for me, the characters make the show, so it’s been a great season so far.

MATT: I find myself still watching them all but not necessarily being that engaged by them. The Flash still elicits the most emotional response from me, and I get a kick out of the corniness and weirdness of Legends. There’s a lot I like about Supergirl, but its the one of the bunch that I find I can wait a few weeks and the binge a few episodes to catch up. I still watch Arrow regularly, but I’m not sure it sparks in the same way as the others.
