Team GATV Roundtable: Talking Arrow Season 6 So Far
Opinion January 18, 2018 Craig Byrne
What do you hope to see in the future from this gathering of villains?
STEPHANIE: This is the weirdest combination of villains since the Legion of Doom on Legends of Tomorrow, so I’m hoping their end goal is worthy of their partnership and beneficial to each member to avoid any more fractures among a team. In addition, I hope the villains figure out and utilize their specialties better than the members of Team Arrow have figured out and utilized their members.
MATT: I like this group, except for Vigilante. It really makes little sense why he would be involved with criminals if his campaign was to take criminals down. His grudge against the Green Arrow doesn’t seem like much motivation, even when factoring in Dinah. Now, I’d like to get a sense of what it is they really want by working together. I want a plot that makes sense without just randomly putting Star City at risk.
MELISSA: I’d like some answers about why the honorable Anatoly and the justice seeking Vigilante joined the villains’ team up. It seems a departure from how they operate, so I am looking for an explanation. Whatever the answers are, I hope for more Anatoly because more Anatoly has never served me wrong before and his relationship with Oliver, unlike the rest of the villains in the cabal, is one I actually care about.
I’d like Richard Dragon to be more interesting than the mediocre threat we’ve seen so far. I hope Quentin’s back half of the season is more than just interacting with Black Siren. Also, while I don’t really expect it, I would love if Cayden James secretly had a better reason to be targeting Star City than simply another plot to avenge a son. Adrian Chase might have been the reverse scenario, but it’s too soon to go there again. My son. His son. Our sons. So many sons this season.
CRAIG: I honestly don’t know what to expect. I think they need to lure me in more first.
