Arrow showrunner Beth Schwartz is careful about what she reveals about upcoming episodes of the series, but in a recent run of press calls (which sadly we weren’t a part of here at GATV) she revealed to TV Line that another “Birds of Prey”-inspired episode is on the way with Katie Cassidy’s Laurel Lance/Black Siren taking the lead.
“We are doing a Birds of Prey-inspired episode, that Laurel (played by Katie Cassidy) will be involved with,” she said in the interview.
In addition to an episode that would surely be a team-up of female vigilantes and heroes, Beth has promised we will learn more of Laurel’s backstory on Earth-Two… and here “redemption arc” is still something that will be explored.
“We’ll get to see what happens in her overall redemption arc — whether she really did turn over a new leaf, or is she still the same evil Black Siren we met last season,” Beth promised.
