Who Were The Guest Stars In The Arrow Series Finale?
NewsSpoilers January 28, 2020 Craig Byrne
Because we know people will be searching for this information, we have compiled a list of all of the characters and actors who returned to Arrow for the series finale “Fadeout” which aired tonight (January 28) on The CW. Clearly, a lot of people wanted to be there and worked out their schedules so that they could find their way back for the very end.
We are not including archive footage (sorry, Jamey Sheridan), but beyond that, it’s all hands on deck. Ready? Let’s go, in relative but possibly not exact order of appearance:
Manu Bennett (Slade Wilson)
We’re not sure if there was new footage or not in this redone scene from “Seeing Red,” but we are assuming Manu filmed something new.
Susanna Thompson (Moira Queen)
One of our two favorite Moiras on television these days, her character died in Season 2, but thanks to Crisis, she’s back and alive, and we’re very happy to see her. Susanna has made a few return appearances on the show over the years, including for the 100th episode, the Season 5 finale, and the Season 8 premiere.
Caity Lotz (Sara Lance)
While a lot of people see her as the lead of DC’s Legends of Tomorrow, we remember when she was just the kick-ass guest star who played “The Canary.” She’s one of the mainstays of DC TV’s superfriends now.
Willa Holland (Thea Queen)
Still sporting her scar from earlier this season, Oliver Queen’s little “Speedy” sister returned. Willa was a part of the show for the first six seasons.
Colton Haynes (Roy Harper)
Roy’s got a mechanical new arm, but thankfully he’s not kicking cats like the comic books. This is the first time we’ve seen Roy and Thea reunited in a while. Read what the producers had to say about something big that happened for them in the episode!
Paul Blackthorne (Quentin Lance)
Hoss is the Mayor! Killed off in the Season 6 finale, Paul Blackthorne made a return a few weeks back, and came back yet again – this time definitely alive – to talk about his history with the “Hood” at his funeral.
Curtis Holt (Echo Kellum)
Curtis showed up working with Felicity and eventually became a Terrific part of Team Arrow. He appeared earlier in Season 8 and he returned again for the series finale.
Joe Dinicol (Rory Regan)
Rory lost his Ragman powers at one point, and we think he was even killed off-screen, but he’s back, alive, and even has his rags again!
Jessica Heafey (Marcia Pedowitz)
The documentarian from “The Emerald Archer” returns! And now she has a full name!
Young William Clayton (Jack Moore)
Jack Moore doubled in height during Arrow’s run — having first appeared in a crossover many years ago. Now that history has changed, William is able to finally have some time with the rest of his family without drama getting in the way.
Tommy Merlyn (Colin Donnell)
Tommy was married to Earth-1 Laurel… and seems to have a thing for the new one. No mention is made of his father’s fate in this post-Crisis world.
Nyssa al Ghul (Katrina Law)
Now starring on Hawaii Five-0, it was surely a feat to get her back to Arrow, but she can’t miss her husband’s funeral! Bonus that she got to reunite with Sara (Caity Lotz).
Talia al Ghul (Lexa Doig)
Talia and Nyssa reunited! Hmm. At least she didn’t end up with a death scene like Marion Cotillard had.
Barry Allen (Grant Gustin)
Barry Allen a.k.a. The Flash sped over to pay his respects to his fallen friend.
Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist)
Kara Danvers of Supergirl fame also came by for the funeral.
Lyla Michaels (Audrey Marie Anderson)
Seemingly Harbinger no more, she stood by her husband John, and we also got to see her two children, J.J. and Sara.
And, last but not least….
Emily Bett Rickards (Felicity Smoak)
They really weren’t going to end this show without her, were they? The first character to really make Oliver Queen smile on this series, introduced in the third episode as a one-time day player, endured. We know how the rest of that story went, and we are very glad the finale worked out the way it did for getting her back.
