23 Episodes For Arrow Season 2?

Unless it was just used as a figure of speech, the Arrow writers, on their official Twitter feed, have announced that, like Season 1, Arrow’s second season will be super-sized with 23 episodes rather than the usual 22 that most series get for their seasons.

From their tweet, posted on the first day of Season 2 writing:

“Only 23 episodes to go?” We’re there.

No premiere date has been announced yet for Arrow Season 2 but it is is likely that it begin in October, based on comments by The CW’s Mark Pedowitz at the 2013 Upfronts presentation in New York.
