100 DAYS To Arrow Season 5!

Every year on GreenArrowTV’s Twitter feed and Facebook page, we’d count down to the new season’s premiere with a classic Green Arrow-related comic book cover. After all, it was the comic books that inspired the TV series to begin with.

Since there had sometimes been confusion about the covers without any context, this year we’re going to describe the comic book covers that we are showing. The issue numbers on the comics will correspond to the number of days left before Season 5 begins. For example, there are 100 days left until Arrow Season 5, considering The CW has announced an October 5 premiere date.

Here’s today’s entry.

Green Lantern/Green Arrow #100

It took a while for the original Green Lantern comic book series (by this point co-starring Green Arrow) to reach issue #100, but in the 100th Smash Issue as it is labeled on the cover, we see two extra heroes vying for the reader’s 60 cents.

With Hal Jordan, Green Lantern is his cousin Hal Jordan, Air Wave. Hey, if the new DC Rebirth universe can have two Wally Wests, anything is possible. Next to Green Arrow is his lady love in the comic book canon at least, the Black Canary.
