Did you miss Thea when she was in a coma?

MATT: No. But you all know I’ve had issues with Thea for years now. Give Willa Holland something to do and not just something to keep her busy. Find a good storyline for Thea or finally write her out of the show.

STEPHANIE: I wish the answer was yes, but at this point, I’ve kind of gotten used to Thea being absent as much as she is present because she’s continually been that character who they don’t know what to do with. I’m certainly curious where her storyline goes from here and hoping they find a way to utilize her as well as they did when she was Oliver’s Chief of Staff.

CRAIG: Yes, and I was shocked watching the season premiere, thinking she was dead at first. As I mentioned before, Stephen and Willa have some of the best scenes of the show, and I’m glad to see that is echoed in his relationship with William. It’s nice to see Thea back, though I hope the show puts her to use while we still have her, in more ways than just being “Auntie Thea” to make cameos.

MELISSA: Yes and no. In 6A, Arrow needed more female energy than just Dinah and Felicity on the heroes’ side and I have always liked Thea, but I was happier having Thea gone all at once rather than how her episodes were done last season, with Thea vanishing every so often with extremely weak excuses.

Remember when Laurel supposedly came back from the dead, but a phone call was enough? Or when Oliver was kidnapped and missing for days and returned with mental and physical trauma that lasted for weeks, but Thea was ok being kept informed at a distance?

Too often her absences simply didn’t make sense. So I while I value her as a character on the show, I was happy to trade a big chunk of missing Thea for knowing she wouldn’t constantly disappear later in the season when it is more important to the story to have her around.
