Team GATV Roundtable: Looking Back At Arrow Season 6 & Forward To Season 7
Opinion July 20, 2018 Craig Byrne

What was your least favorite Arrow Season 6 episode?
MELISSA: Hands down my least favorite episode was “The Dragon.”
Even if I’d thought it was a well-acted or well-written episode (which I do not), the timing of it was unforgivable. Can you imagine reading a book with only five chapters left and the author stopping the momentum to backtrack and do a deep character dive, slash origin story, set up through a series of vignettes during a day long, ride along that has nothing to do with the rest of the story? As seen through a secondary antagonist? Bonus points if the secondary antagonist gleeful watches someone’s head get blown off in an explosion, but draws a line at setting people on fire without blowing them up.
MATT: Didn’t have a least favorite that I recall, but as I mentioned earlier, there was a point midseason where I just wasn’t feeling the season. There wasn’t anything exceptionally wrong, but it just wasn’t sparking for me in a way to engage my interest. I had meant to potentially binge a few episodes to catch back up, but by the time I tried to, some of the episodes I’d missed were no longer available on the CW app. I had to wait till the season finished to catch up with the rest of it.
STEPHANIE: The episodes in the 6.09-6.14 run were my least favorites. The threats felt generic and not like anything to worry about, so these episodes were a bit of a chore to make it through.
CRAIG: I, too, batch together the episodes at the height of OTA vs. NTA as the “Make It Stop” era. They’d probably also be my least favorites. Well, those and “The Dragon,” where Oliver’s presence was sorely missed.
