Barry Allen Will Be Returning: The Flash Is Officially Picked Up As A Series
News May 8, 2014 Craig Byrne
Felicity’s pal Barry Allen will be in his own series for sure.
The CW has given a series order to The Flash, with the official schedule (and likely a trailer and more goodies) being announced on Thursday, May 15 – the day after the Arrow finale.
Arrow’s Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti, and Geoff Johns will all be involved with the new show.
If you haven’t been to our Flash portal yet, it’s FlashTVNews.com. We’re also on Twitter – @FlashTVNews – and on Facebook so be sure to give both of those things a follow.
Flash isn’t the only DC Comics adaptation being added to the Fall TV schedule, even on The CW – the network has also picked up iZombie, which, while not being a direct adaptation, is loosely adapted from the DC/Vertigo comic book series of the same name. Over on FOX, Gotham has been given the green light.
UPDATE: Since this post first went up, NBC has picked up the DC Comics adaptation Constantine as well, based on John Constantine, Hellblazer!
Between this and the new Arrow season finale pics, this is proving to be an exciting day!
