Arrow Casts The Son Of Slade Wilson

The son that Slade Wilson (Manu Bennett) has been looking for has been casted, with the news being broken today by EW.com.

Liam Hall (Lucifer, Camp) has been chosen to play Joe Wilson, son of Slade. Not a blond “Jericho” with a very different background, and possibly older than we expected for him to be. Here’s how Arrow’s take on the character is described:

The son of one of the Green Arrow’s (Stephen Amell) greatest foes, Joe Wilson has followed in his father’s footsteps by joining the secret Australian military agency, A.S.I.S. After years of brutal combat, Joe now finds himself in a remote Kasnian prison under the alias, Kane Wolfman, fighting for his life.

“Kane Wolfman” is surely a reference to DC Comics legends Marv Wolfman (who created Slade) and Gil Kane, a frequent collaborator of Marv Wolfman’s.

Look for Joe in the upcoming Arrow Season 6 2-parter that begins with “Deathstroke Returns.”
